Even the most experienced skiers will find a challenge. The village itself is pretty and compact - everything is within walking distance so you will never have far to go.

On the Slopes

Risoul ski resort benefits from a well linked lift system. All the slopes return back to a central point in Risoul village where you will find a selection of restaurants and cafes - perfect for a lunch break in between ski runs. The ski school also meets here. The link between Vars and Risoul can be skied over on all blues and greens, ideal for intermediate skiers. The views are breathtaking, well worth the trip across.

Beginners: Beginners in Risoul are well catered for, with lots of confidence building wide sunny nursery slopes that are set just aside from the main pistes near the village centre. There are lots of easy blues, so beginners will be able to progress quickly and confidently with a good choice of slopes. With cruising runs and pretty, tree-lined runs back to the village and extremely scenic snow bowls above Risoul, you'll be in skiing heaven!

Intermediate: The link between Vars and Risoul can be skied over on blues and greens making it a great skiing experience for intermediate skiers.

Advanced: Risoul ski resort offers the more daring skiers a good range of challenging black runs covered on your pass. You will find the hardest pistes on the Vars side of the Crete des Chabrieres. A Risoul ski holiday has many great off-piste opportunities to keep you busy. These can be found amongst the lower wooded areas and the higher snow bowls.

Risoul Snowboarding

Risoul has lots to offer for snowboard enthusiasts. Under the De Cezier chair is “Surfland” which has a boardercross run, rails, quarters and an array of different sized kickers and a 100m long pipe. There is endless variety and enough to keep even the keenest of snowboarders pushed to the max.

Off the Slopes

Risoul skiing holidays are always a popular choice with our guests and although the resort has been purpose built, it is very attractive with a woodland setting and a genuine French atmosphere. There are a variety of shops, cafes and bars, and with great sunshine, a good snow record and a long season this is a fantastic choice of resort. Risoul is about 45minutes from Briançon which is a lively, pretty resort, well worth a visit.
