On the Slopes
Clavière is a small alpine resort with good and varied local skiing, fantastic snow record and access to the Milky Way circuit.
Beginners: The resort has a pleasant nursery area and enormous blue run which starts above the trees and goes all the way back to the village. The run is quite long and demanding but enthusiastic beginners will love the sense of achievement when they manage it.
Intermediates: Claviere has lots of choices for intermediate skiers including adventurous semi off-piste down little paths which wind through trees.
Advanced: Advanced skiers have some good reds, inspiring off-piste and of course the massive Milky Way circuit to explore.
Claviere Snowboarding
Snowboarders won’t be disappointed with the fantastic options they’ll find in the Milky Way. The circuit’s fast chairlifts facilitate moving around between resorts and its four snowparks make it a must for snowboarders. The four snowparks are located at the end of the circuit in Montgenèvre, Sestriere, Sauze D’Oulx and Cesana San Sicario.
Helmet Hire
The area of Piedmont, Italy has passed a law requiring that all children under 18 years must wear helmets. This new legislation has now been implemented and will only affect you if you are going to Claviere and Montgenevre.
