The Hotel Riegler is going from strength to strength and we have experienced some of our best re-booking levels ever. It is well located only 5 min's from central Saalbach and just a few seconds on the skibus to the modern Schattberg gondola or for the more energetic a 7min walk in ski boots. For your convenience we have a ski and boot store by the gondola where you can store your ski's (only about € 15 per week).

It's best to start the day from the Schattberg gondola. There are plenty of other buses to other parts of the system or you may want to walk around the shops and cafes before taking the lift. It's a colossal lift and one of the focal points of the whole system. From the top an easy black or red eventually joins the blue run from the mid station that takes you back to the village.

The Riegler has great views of the north-facing slopes of the Schattberg Mountain in front of the hotel. It is fairly modern and is constantly maintained to our specification to easily match its 3 star rating. On the ground floor, the ski store has heated boot holders and exits onto the hotel terrace where a short, steep access road joins the main road and the ski bus stop. There's also a sauna next to the ski room, and a large reception with internet access point and seating. Most of the public areas are up on the first floor. The bar is very welcoming and well designed, with a pleasant ambience. The lounge has Sky TV and is a relaxing, quiet area, away from the main bar, which is next to the smart restaurant.

Most of the bedrooms have balconies that get the sun all day and all have private facilities. They are nicely decorated and comfortable. There are 3 double rooms that are slightly smaller than the twins. We recommend this excellent RocketSki-run hotel, which operates with our customary attention to detail, superb personal service and good food.
