This modern chalet has been a great success and is one of our most popular every year, it is great for guest wanting a real chalet atmosphere. It offers an unbeatable combination of value, quality and convenience. It is a typical French development, of a good standard, and every room has private shower, wash-basin and WC. It is situated just 5 mins walk (10 mins in ski boots) from our Hotel Le Rois Mages. You walk past the Rois Mages, cross the road, and put your skis on within 5/6mins.
The developer is Monsieur Pavesi, a local ski supplier we know well, and he has built an excellent chalet. Lots of timber has been used in the construction to preserve the traditional character but it's a modern design which makes maximum use of the space available.
All 6 bedrooms have private facilities, 3 are normal twins, and 3 have a mezzanine floor with a second bedroom upstairs. One of these mezzanine rooms has twin beds on both floors, and 2 single downstairs and a triple upstairs. There are 18 guest beds in total.
The dining/sitting room has a large open fire and space to enjoy afternoon tea or relax after your evening meal. This is a large room with good quality lounge furniture, TV (freeview channels), DVD player and sound system. Various games are available. A long balcony and terrace runs the length of the chalet facing south.
Our hotel Rois Mages has a lively bar, which is one of the focal points for Montgenevre nightlife that many chalet guests enjoy during the week. Ski equipment is stored in the Rois Mages, which is a little closer to the slopes.
Chalet Board
We employ excellent hosts and housekeepers who take care of your creature comforts and are very much a part of the social scene during your holiday. They know the skiing and will have lots of local information for you. For breakfast, there is a substantial buffet with ham, salami, cheese and cereals in addition to the usual bread and preserves. When you come back from skiing there's always cakes and coffee or tea, and at dinner, three excellent courses with free wine served until coffee.
Cook's Night Off
On one day of the week, the host has a day off so you need to buy dinner. We always plan this as part of your après ski entertainment and will book a high value fun-filled evening in a local restaurant if you wish.
