It has a fantastic location right on the slopes amongst a cluster of other chalets in a new development. You jump on your skis right outside the door and ski 250m down to the gondola lift. At the end of the day you can ski right back to the door. In the evening the centre of Alpe d'Huez is 20-25mins walk but there are a couple of bars and a scattering of shops only 5-10mins away. Alternatively you can jump on the free ski bus which stops close to the chalet.
The facilities are excellent. The spacious sun terrace has a hot tub and fantastic views. It catches the sun virtually all day. Inside, the chalet is nicely decorated and has a spacious lounge area with large, comfortable sofas, cable TV and an open fireplace. Along the lounge is the open plan dining area. All bedrooms are well-furnished and came with private facilities. Downstairs there is a steam room.
New for this season is the 'Cine Snug' - an additional room which has been cut out from the rock in the basement area. It is fully insulated and heated and soundproofed. There are 2 comfortable sofas, 2 large bean bags and 8 large colourful cushions but t he piece de resistance must surely be the new 50 inch high-definition plasma TV with an all round sound cinema system. There is a new HD DVD player and the whole system is linked to Sky TV. This is a great room for people to watch films/sports etc without disturbing those people who wish to relax in the lounge!

2nd floor rooms 1 and 2 - Twins with private facilities.
1st floor rooms 3 and 4 - Twins with private facilities.

Chalet Board
We employ excellent hosts and housekeepers who take care of your creature comforts and are very much a part of the social scene during your holiday. They know the skiing and will have lots of local information for you. For breakfast, there is a substantial buffet with ham, salami, cheese and cereals in addition to the usual bread and preserves. When you come back from skiing there's always cakes and coffee or tea, and at dinner, three excellent courses with free wine.
Cook's Night Off
On one day of the week, the host has a day off so you need to buy dinner. We
always plan this as part of your après ski entertainment and will book
a high value fun-filled evening in a local restaurant if you wish.
