Designed in the �60s by the famous modernist architect Le Corbusier and named after him, Le Corbier ski resort started life as one of those medium sized 3rd generation resorts with a mere 75km of good skiing.Changes to the lift pass mean Le Corbier ski resort now includes La Toussuire and can be extended to St Sorlin d'Arves, opening up a magnificent ski area of 225km which holds its own alongside some of the best in France.
The big news for this season is that St Sorlin d'Arves will now connect by lift and piste with Le Corbier ski resort and La Toussuire as well, now offering you luck 310km of piste making Le Corbiere, the 4th largest ski area in France!

Le Corbier ski resort's snow record is superb. The village sits at 1550m, the top station is at 2600m, there are plenty of snow cannons and the snow mostly faces the right way.The main thing about any purpose-built resort is the quality of the skiing and none of these three areas disappoint. La Toussuire is slightly more challenging, with about 50km of great skiing in an enormous bowl. The route back is deliberately kept easy but beginners can take the chair lift if they wish and there's a bus service.Keen intermediates can enjoy enormous runs with dramatic views and an enjoyable sense of journey during their ski holiday. Le Corbier lets advanced skiers revel in its huge mileage: it's an ambitious, rapidly-developing ski area with lifts added every year. Ski in Le Corbier and you'll find they've recently added a fast chair direct from the foot of the resort right to the top, where there's a nursery area with wonderful snow.
