Ski resort Les Arcs is actually 3 resorts in one, integrally linked. So ski holidays in Les Arcs give skiers a huge variety of terrains to play on.There's the original Arc 1600, set amongst the pines, with all the classic Tarantaise virtues; huge variety, great views and truly fabulous skiing. You ski above, below, all around and right back to the village terrace! There are long runs in high, snowy bowls and wide slopes protected by trees.
The ski tuition is top class, in fact ski evolutif was invented here. Les Arcs' ski school is excellent and friendly, the nursery slopes are superb and there are plenty of blue runs.
Fabulous for intermediates, over half of Les Arcs ski resort's 120 plus runs are graded blue or red. For brave intermediaries and advanced skiers there's tremendous off-piste skiing and 17 snaky blacks offer plenty of challenge.
Try the glorious 6.8km Aiguille Rouge, swooping down 2026m, the biggest vertical descent in Europe. And see the world famous �Flying Kilometre' speed track� you can even have a go!
