Resort Overview

Andalo ski resort, Italy features a meticulously kept ski area with a superb lift system and powerful snow-making. There's wonderful scenery, a friendly village and lots going on.

On The Slopes

Andalo is the connoisseur's ski resort and good skiers really rate it. It's better than the comparatively modest mileage would suggest. When you ski in Andalo you'll find a huge variety of runs, which the hard working lift company groom to corduroy perfection!

Andalo ski holidays are getting better all the time, investment is continuous with millions of Euros being spent in the next few years. The uplift is first class; modern, swift and well organised with high speed chairs predominating. The snowmaking system is one of the best in Italy's Dolomite mountains and now covers about 95% of the system.

Everyone who takes their ski holidays in Andalo, whatever their standard, however much piste they are used to bashing, comes back with rave reports. Although the piste map covers only a medium sized area, it really is better than many household-name resorts that cost considerably more. We have no hesitation in recommending it to practically everyone.

Beginners have excellent nursery areas in the village and also at the mid station where the snow is always good. Intermediate skiers have plenty of excitement on the long reds and blues which are well worked out with no flat spots or unpleasant surprises. And advanced skiers have fantastic off-piste and mogul runs on the high slopes above Fai as well as a brand new black run. There are miles of informally pisted skiing through the trees and some fabulous off-piste too. You can buy a lift pass extension to Madonna di Campiglio and Folgarida which can be accessed by ski bus.

One of the nicest things about Andalo ski holidays is the friendly village which has both character and life. You don't get high prices or blase service here. There's an original hamlet with a few rustic old farm buildings and the resort is just below, closer to the lifts. There are plenty of bars and non-ski activities. The horse-drawn sleigh rides through the woods are a special delight. All in all, we highly recommend it!
