Unbelievable value from this simple, basic and very traditional hotel. Family
hospitality, good food and a brilliant position.
Perfectly placed in the middle of the village but almost on the nursery slopes,
our Hotel Roma is always a success and offers unbelievable value. With its creaky
wooden floors, prints from bygone eras and old fashioned air the Roma is a pleasant
reminder of the early days of skiing and is one of the original village buildings.
The Roma is a simple hotel with 2 stars but we think it's closer to one star.
It is however undergoing a mini transformation and the bar has been modernized
and doubled in size. It's basic but clean and has good food. Most of the rooms
are for 2-5 and almost all have private facilities. The 9 that don't are next
to corridor facilities. Diane, who is English, will provide you with a hospitable
and enjoyable stay. The Roma has been a mainstay of our Claviere programme for
13 years and we recommend it highly.
