The extraordinary Hotel Salegg was built just before the First World War in the grand tradition of European mountain tourism, and has just undergone an extensive renovation.
They have preserved but modernised the rooms and services. All the bedrooms have had new bathrooms fitted, all with shower. We think it's going to be a real winner. It occupies a truly idyllic location, near the ruined castle, surrounded by deep green forest, and mountain meadows. The centre of Siusi is a 10min stroll, and the gondola station is 8mins, where there are shops, ski hire, ice bar etc. You also store your skis here so the walk is no problem. The hotel also has a small mini bus that it sometimes uses to transport guests to the lift. The spacious public facilities are excellent and include a large dining room serving very good food.
