Impressive development easy for the glacier. Smart, recently-built hotel. Good facilities.
The Piandineve is officially a 4 star but we think it should be a 3 star. There is a skidoo drag lift to the glacier cablecar or you walk in 1 min. A fantastic black run neatly deposits skiers right back outside the hotel. Guests can also ski down to the road on a very easy slope and pick up the main village lifts in a couple of minutes or walk in 2 or 3 mins. These are on the other side of the road as shown on the ski map.
The superb rooms have satellite TV, 'phone, and shower room with hairdryer WC and bidet. They are nicely panelled and have chunky, well-made furniture. The twin rooms have extra beds and are OK for 3 adults but too small for 4. The Piandineve is very modern and has acres of space and panoramic views. Public facilities are excellent and the food is very good.
