On The Slopes

Passo Tonale is a friendly, convenient, well-equipped village. If you learned to ski in Passo Tonale a few years back you'll be amazed by the changes. Like all of Italy's Val di Sole resorts, investment in the lifts has been continuous and if you ski in Passo Tonale you'll discover the place is pushing its way up market. Many of the hotels have added a star. Set high above the trees with the fairy lights on at night it looks great.

This is a friendly resort straddling a pass, and ski holidays in Passo Tonale have a great deal to offer: convenience, plenty of easy mileage and guaranteed snow. The many new snow cannons provide further back-up and the permanent snowfields of the Presena glacier can be skied even in August, making for great late season ski holidays. Tonale's glacier is reached via cable car and the skiing is in a high bowl at over 3000m.

Passo Tonale's big network of lifts is modern, efficient and user-friendly, with some moving carpet type chairs, easy even for beginners. On Passo Tonale ski holidays there's hardly any walking or queuing! The huge nursery slopes are wide, sunny and gentle. We really can't think of a better choice for novices.

From the glacier there's a truly superb, recently remodelled black, a hair raising experience for braver intermediates and advanced skiers! A superb 4.5km race piste also provides plenty of exhilaration. There is also a magical 7km run through woods to Ponte di Legno, where there's more excellent skiing. Tonale ski holidays are nothing if not packed with variety!

Passo Tonale Snowboarding

The terrain at Passo Tonale is great for snowboarders. Passo Tonale is excellent for beginners and great for learning as there are lots of long wide runs which are excellent for practice.

Off The Slopes

Passo Tonale is a genuine mountain community so it's nice and friendly and prices are reasonable. Almost everything you need is right there in the village, the night life is informal and fun. A real village with warm hearted people and plenty to do, ski holidays in Passo Tonale also feature popular excursions to Ponte di Legno, Marilleva, Folgarida and Madonna di Campiglio.
