We want to make sure your experience with RocketSki is amazing from start to finish! This means an easy booking process and smooth travel experience. In this section we’ve included some tips for at the airport and when travelling. If you’re unsure of anything before departing make sure you give one of friendly RocketSki sales representatives a call.
Be sure to check security rules regarding liquid restrictions in hand baggage
We recommend checking in at least 3 hours prior to departure time
Confirm the airport security instructions by visiting the below websites as this may be subject to change
Don’t forget to check the baggage restrictions with the airline you are flying with prior to departure.
Please keep to the limit because excess charges can be high.
The usual luggage allowance is 20kg per person not including hand luggage, which is limited to 5kg on all our charter flights. Please note that all airlines reserve the right to send skis and excess baggage on later flights.
Excess baggage will be transferred to resort as soon as possible and RocketSki will provide emergency hire equipment if necessary. The luggage allowance may be pooled but this is subject to individual airline conditions. To arrange carriage of skis/snowboards please contact the office for more information.
RocketSki flights are sometimes available to book independently, please contact us for availability and price details.
We use scheduled carriers such as British Airways, EasyJet and Jet2 charter aircrafts. RocketSki do, however, reserve the right to use other airlines, and to treat London Airports as interchangeable.
If you prefer to drive to the Alps we can organise accommodation only at a reduced rate of the overall cost. The price reduction varies and self-drive can only be booked via telephone.
Most French resorts are 8-10hrs from Calais and the Italian Piedmont resorts (Claviere, Sestriere and Sansicario) are approximately 10 hours from Calais. Austrian resorts will take you another 3 hours or so and the Dolomites a further hour over the Brenner Pass.
